The 'great reset.' What if you gave yourself more time?

Do you feel like this year hasn't even started yet in terms of your goals?

Do you wish you could just get your butt into gear and feel like you're making a difference to your life?

I'm writing this because it's nearly the end of February and there's been moments I've felt this way.  I wonder if you've felt or feel like this too.

So what if you gave yourself more time?

What if you imagined entering a dark cave and meeting a wise old woman, sitting down on the floor and taking a long deep breath.  


What do you think she would say to you?  What do you think ALL the wise women in your life would say to you in that cave?

Maybe you'd let them take care of you for a moment.  Lie you down and attend to you.  Rub healing ointment on your wounds, cup their hands under your head as you lie there breathing in life, bringing yourself back to you.

How often do we feel so rushed, pressured and overwhelmed we don't even know what's missing in our life, we just know we don't feel ourselves, we feel miserable, tired and keep dipping in the biscuit tin or overdoing the wine?

Or we know but we set totally unrealistic timeframes to reach our goals so our good intentions don't last. 

What is this time limit we keep putting on ourselves?

And why are we doing this all alone?  

Why are we not calling on our wise women to help us reach our goals?  

I had a dream last night. 

I dream't I needed the loo but we only had an hour before our plane took off and we were in a motorway garage.  But I knew if I didn't go, I'd be so uncomfortable so I walked the long corridor to the woman I needed to pay and show me where it was.  When I got there, the woman waited outside.  I set the alarm off trying to lock the door but she helped me.  As I undressed, I discovered I was still wearing a damp bathing costume and my behind was covered in sand.

The dream showed me 3 things:

1. Don't ignore your basic needs, you'll discover others right behind it

2.  Let someone help you

3.  Don't be put off if stopping and attending to your need causes you to panic at first and need help.  You'll soon be able to get on with it yourself once on the right track.

I'm still visioning my future while putting a daily and weekly plan in place (more on that next time).  How are you getting on?

Yesterday I started making 2 new vision boards.  When you make your aspirations physical, there's something hugely satisfying, comforting and inspiring in it plus their presence is a daily reminder of where you want to get to and the joy of being on that journey knowing you are contributing to your new vision by taking some time out to focus on it in a fun way.  Whohoo!
