"Why do I feel so tired?"

I know it's Summer right but maybe you're feeling really really tired.  A few comments from friends and a few exhausted moments myself this week prompted me to ponder the following question..

Q. Why do we feel so tired?

A: Because we measure our success by how much we do not by who we are.

As women we usually take action (masculine energy) before ‘being’
(feminine) since this is how our world operates but if we were to rise in the morning and take one moment to connect within we would more likely take aligned action leading to greater wellness

For men, taking positive action first, such as exercise then
dropping into 'being' such as rest or meditation is the right way round

side-note: I'm referring to the biological sexes based on the xx and xy chromosomes and the corresponding differing hormone profiles when describing women and men.  The masculine and feminine descriptions are not based on gender but on the energies present in all of us, also known as yin and yang.

Here's a suggestion:

  • Try sitting in a designated spot (on a yoga mat, cushion, in the garden, on the floor, anywhere will do,  but a regular spot is best if you'd like to carve out a more consistent practice)

  • Start with 1 minute and see how, by stopping for even the shortest moment, you calm your senses and then know what action to take that’s best aligned for you

  • Extend the time by a minute each day and see what happens.

From a place of perhaps disliking meditation you may well be sitting for an hour or more this time next year haha!

Science backed research has shown that honouring these two qualities in the right way for men and women, promotes hormone balance and reduces inflammation enabling healing and health in a myriad of ways.

Summer Solstice - 21st June

And we may be feeling tired because we are approaching another pivotal moment in the seasonal calendar - Summer Solstice, the longest day of the year and the beginning of the next cycle, the slow descent into late summer.

It's another energetic shift but nothing like as stirring and detoxifying as the equinoxes thankfully.  Nevertheless, we can feel time progressing.

Are you making the most of the ripeness and abundance that Summer brings?

Have the metaphorical seeds you planted in Spring blossomed?  They could be as simple as, making sure to relish more  moments of joy or get outside more or eat more salad!!!! Or bigger stuff maybe.

Seasonal shifts help us take a moment and check in, but of course, your body never lies.  If your hay fever is driving you crazy, your sleep is poor (I know it's warm now) or you're feeling exhausted, maybe you need to make a few tweaks. Don't wait until the Autumn equinox in September when it's harder and you want to be as healthy as possible over the Winter.

Go gently on yourself yet wisely.  It's a beautiful time of year!

Final call for 'Feminine Awakening' on Sunday if you haven't booked in already.

There's a few spaces left.

Perfect if you're feeling overwhelmed or tired, unable to fully embrace the abundance of Summer, aware we are half way through the year and wanting to experience the rest of the year in a way that supports and nourishes you. Restore harmony and flow back into your life.  Perhaps allow desires you haven't even consciously thought of to rise up within you - to truly live and experience each day fully.  After all, we're not here forever, well not in this human body:)

It will be an afternoon of re-connecting or fully connecting to yourself through guided meditations, movement through free flowing dance, letting yourself be seen and heard, sharing, listening, feeling supported and embraced for the wonderful human you are.

Book your space

Hugs
